Shell pearls are made from real mother of pearl reformed into lustrous ½" (12mm) beads which are then dyed, polished and hand-knotted into these fabulous necklaces. They are strikingly similar to the finest South Sea pearls - except for the matter of price, for real pearls of this size would cost a small fortune.
